Knights and Dragons

Hey everyone - I'm still around. Trying to adjust to life with a kid now! Anyways I have been playing a IOS game lately called Knights and Dragons and it has been super addicting! I have actually been enjoying all aspects of the game so far, even the PvP and Guild Battles - And I usually stick as far away from PvP as possible.

Couple of notes - This is by far a pay to win game. You can use real money to purchase gems and then in turn use the gems to purchase chests which give out random rewards including the best armors in the game - However, you can still do really well without sinking a lot of money (or any) into the game. I spent the $1.99 to get the starter pack which is a few gems, a little money, and a descent set of armor. I have nothing against putting a couple of dollars into a game that I like if it's free to play.

The game basically revolves around your knights and their armor. You can upgrade or "Fuse" new armor. There are quite a few stages to get through with different bosses as well. When you defeat a boss with a special attack they drop pieces to armor that you can then have your blacksmith use to create new armors. The higher quality armors take quite a few more pieces so it will take a few times through a stage to get everything you need.

You get (5) arena energy to use every few hours. They typically have arena tournaments going on with excellent rewards. Obviously the people you pay up will always have a better chance at winning, but it isn't all that bad with a descent set of armor. I think the best I have done so far is in the 3,500 range without dropping any real money at all. At certain point totals you get rewards of gems, cash, or even armor sets that you can use if they are better, or fuse them to your other armors to make them more powerful.

They also have guild battles every now and then with descent rewards if you can get into a semi-active guild.

One of the best parts is they have an Epic boss that stays around for a week I believe and then they replace it with a new one. If you can manage (15) wins in a week you get enough material to make a really nice set of armor. It took me a while to get my armor up high enough to get the (15) wins, but it is worth it! You can also add up to (2) friends to help you in battle against the epic bosses. If you have a couple of high level friends they can help you out a ton in getting to (15) kills.

I'm not perfect at this yet as I have only been playing a couple of weeks, but here are a few hints I have picked up along the way.

1 - Find a friend code to use after you finish the tutorial. You get a descent set of starting armor (2 star Monk Vestments) that beats anything you can make for quite a while.
Here is mine if you need one for the IPhone / IPad = XBN-NXQ-MND or XBM-XDH-GXN

2 - Save up for training grounds as soon as you can (50k gold) They make around the most per hour, but also store more gold than any other building by a long shot - This helps huge if you are away for an extended amount of time (sleeping) I currently have (10) of them right now.
3 - Find some high level friends - The easiest way to do this is to go to the leaderboards of current arena tournaments, or epic boss fights. You can view profiles of the leaders and shoot them friend requests. I was able to get a few of them to accept and it has helped me a lot!
4 - Find some good armor and stick with it. It takes quite a bit of time to fully level armor and so if you switch around a lot you will never get there! I went for "The Big Four" right off the bat. Google the Big Four and they will have a description on their wikia page. A lot of great info there!

5 - Patience! This game takes a while to get established - Stick with it for a week or two and you will see huge improvements from when you first started. It was hard for me to stay active until I got a couple of training grounds down and the money started coming in a little faster! It does seem that the arena pits you against people around your level as well, so you should not have to worry about taking on players in full epic armor right off the bat - Although it is possible if they are really really lucky or buying chests!

Hope you guys enjoy the game!
